Justin Richardson
Black Willow Woodworking
Studio location #9. 3145 Kinburn Side Road, Kinburn.
Justin Richardson grew up in a country setting just north of Kingston, Ontario. His love of nature and fascination with trees fostered his inspiration for woodworking.
Eventually moving to Ottawa to study architecture, it became clear to him that he was equally passionate about designing as he was being the craftsman himself. For this reason, he enrolled in the Furniture and Cabinetmaking program at Algonquin College. Following graduation, he continued his education with a custom woodworking shop, earning his Red Seal designation, and eventually returning to teach in the same program he took 8 years earlier.
In 2016, he moved to Kinburn, Ontario and opened his own woodworking shop to further pursue his craft. He now creates unique woodworking pieces, from custom furniture to electrically carved charcuterie boards.
