Brenda Beattie was born and raised in Banff National Park. She received her art training many years ago at the Kootenay School of Art in Nelson B.C, the Banff Center, the University of Alberta and more recently the Ottawa School of Art. She takes classes frequently so is always learning. She has recently had a solo exhibition and sale in a pop-up store in the St. Laurent Center and exhibits the West Carleton Art Club, the Kanata Art Club and has been a part of the Red Trillium Studio Tour. She is a Fellow of the Ottawa Watercolour Society and also teaches art classes. She is currently living in Kanata.
